MySQL is one of the programs that can be used to manage something called a relational database. I’ll first begin with a description of Amarok’s database, then move on to the relatively simpler schema used by Clementine and Rhythmbox. I have briefly used Rhythmbox on my laptop in the past, but quickly abandoned it for Clementine. I regularly use Amarok on my desktop, and Clementine on my laptop.
